En el mundo moderno, este enfoque se ha perdido en muchos aspectos. As\u00ed pues, entendamos primero la anatom\u00eda, la fisiolog\u00eda y la mec\u00e1nica de la respiraci\u00f3n.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-cf44001a alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-56dcd7d9\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El diafragma se une por delante a la ap\u00f3fisis xifoides (punto inferior del estern\u00f3n), a los m\u00e1rgenes superiores de las costillas (costales) y por los lados (lateralmente) a los m\u00e1rgenes costales<sup>6\u00ba<\/sup> a<sup>12\u00ba<\/sup>. (ver diagrama). La parte media tendinosa del diafragma se denomina tend\u00f3n central. Es importante comprender que el diafragma funciona como un <em>m\u00fasculo involuntario y voluntario, con<\/em> <em>fibras diferentes en las zonas costal y central de las costillas, respectivamente.<\/em> Esto explica por qu\u00e9 no tenemos que \u00abpensar\u00bb o \u00abrecordar\u00bb respirar (lo hacemos involuntariamente); sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n podemos elegir cantar o respirar profundamente a voluntad. \u00a1Un m\u00fasculo muy singular!   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La fisiolog\u00eda de la respiraci\u00f3n es bastante compleja. Sin embargo, lo fundamental es que nuestro diafragma permite que se produzca la ventilaci\u00f3n pulmonar. Este aumento del volumen pulmonar permite que se produzca la respiraci\u00f3n, o intercambio gaseoso. El ox\u00edgeno es absorbido por la sangre y el di\u00f3xido de carbono es liberado al aire exterior. El ox\u00edgeno absorbido se utiliza como combustible para nuestras c\u00e9lulas y mol\u00e9culas, proporcion\u00e1ndonos la fuente vital de energ\u00eda que necesitamos para funcionar. En nuestros vasos sangu\u00edneos hay sensores a\u00f3rticos y carot\u00eddeos que miden y ayudan en este proceso de intercambio de gases.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 ocurre cuando envejecemos? \u00bfY el estr\u00e9s es un factor? <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A medida que envejecemos, el tejido pulmonar y los m\u00fasculos intercostales pierden elasticidad, lo que hace que nos cueste m\u00e1s respirar profundamente. Nuestras costillas tambi\u00e9n acumulan dep\u00f3sitos de calcio, haciendo que las costillas y el t\u00f3rax sean m\u00e1s r\u00edgidos y m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de expandir. Como resultado, aumenta nuestra frecuencia respiratoria (m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida) y disminuye la profundidad (menos profunda). La misma respuesta respiratoria se produce en situaciones de estr\u00e9s, y ambas juntas pueden empeorar las cosas a medida que envejecemos.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este tipo de respiraci\u00f3n superficial y acelerada puede ser perjudicial si no se corrige, ya que el sistema nervioso simp\u00e1tico acaba activ\u00e1ndose, provocando fatiga suprarrenal, reducci\u00f3n de la funci\u00f3n inmunitaria, insomnio, disminuci\u00f3n de la concentraci\u00f3n y aumento de las emociones.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo puede el Tai Chi ayudar en nuestra funci\u00f3n diafragm\u00e1tica y nuestra respiraci\u00f3n?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una de las primeras \u00e1reas es la conciencia. Debido al \u00e9nfasis que pone el Tai Chi en la conciencia corporal, podemos controlarnos durante la pr\u00e1ctica. \u00bfEstamos conteniendo la respiraci\u00f3n durante los dan-yus? \u00bfO en cualquier momento de la serie? Si es as\u00ed, separar ligeramente los labios mientras te mueves puede ayudarte a evitar este h\u00e1bito.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El otro aspecto significativo de nuestro Tai Chi es que favorece una expansi\u00f3n diafragm\u00e1tica buena y saludable al poner \u00e9nfasis en la buena alineaci\u00f3n y postura. Si somos capaces de mantener la c\u00fapula del diafragma (o tend\u00f3n central) directamente sobre el suelo p\u00e9lvico durante la tabla, incluida la meditaci\u00f3n de pie, podremos optimizar la capacidad de nuestro diafragma para expandir las costillas y el t\u00f3rax lo suficiente como para favorecer una mejor respiraci\u00f3n. Por \u00faltimo, puesto que todos nuestros movimientos implican una maravillosa expansi\u00f3n del t\u00f3rax y la columna vertebral, \u00a1este Arte puede ayudar a mantener a raya los efectos
