This workshop is aimed at those who have completed at least the introductory course. Following the success of Winter Week 2024, and the seminar on the Five Animal Forms, we’ll be exploring the relationship between the internal form and the movements of the set, the foundation movements and standing meditation postures (站桩 zhàn zhuāng). We also invite you to participate in periods of sitting meditation every morning upon waking (靜坐 jìngzuò – sitting in quietude) or to use that time to gently stretch your body.
As many have discovered, the intensity of several days dedicated to taichi creates the conditions for deep inner work, both physical and spiritual.
The beauty of the CAMMAC site also invites you to take a walk in nature. You can also indulge in daydreaming by the lake between sessions.
Cost (budgetary) and accommodation
For the 3-day workshop (6 periods of 3 hours each), 2 nights, breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and snacks: the basic amount of $590 CAD (This amount may be higher depending on your accommodation options. The basic price is for double occupancy).
You can consult the room location map on the CAMMAC website (Second Floor Map and Third Floor). All rooms are equipped with a washbasin and some have a private bathroom. For the best choice of rooms, book early. There is an additional charge for a room with a private bathroom and for single occupancy of a room with 2 beds or a double bed . If you’d like to share a room but don’t know anyone else, please contact us.
Terms of payment
$300 upon registration. We’ll ask that you pay the remainder of the package before departure, as well as any supplements resulting from your accommodation options.
Cancellations:
If you cancel before August 14, a $50 cancellation fee will be deducted. After this date, the Centre musical CAMMAC charges a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of accommodation + tax.
A minimum of 25 registrations is required for the workshop to take place. We reserve the right to cancel the event by August 15, 2023 – your deposit will be refunded in full, if applicable.
